End of Nero Lite

As no further updates are released for Nero 7 and Nero 8 its time to bring this project to an end.

With the release of InfraRecorder 0.50 there is now a program which is open source, easy to handle and doesn’t bloat the system with software you don’t use that much.

In fact, I hardly burn anything since my new car radio reads audio directly from SD-cards.

Of course I release a last update as I promised earlier.

- update Inno Setup -> 5.3.4
- update VC++ Redist installer (KB973544)
- minor changes

    thnks a lot man, really appreciated your hard work over the last years, a remarkable example of how softwares devs should work if they at least used their own softwares… i do fiercily believe that nero devs at home use nero lite ^^

    i stumbled upon your site a couple years ago and i must say that your work has been invaluable. i had been using nero since version 5 i believe, but was increasingly tired and frustrated with the ever increasing bloat of the software.

    without your work i would have given up on nero long ago. its too bad they don’t hire you to continue work on their software (last i looked their nero suite was over 1gb in size)

    This was a really great project. You made this software the way it should be.

    Can you recommend something in “better” shape than Infrared? I’m using linux and k3b has beenworking great but I need something a lot more “stable” than Infra red.

    I used your Nero Lite in the past, but now I use CDBurnerXP and ImgBurn (they have been improved a lot).
    I don’t know if I ever said thanks for you work in the forum. If not, that’s what I’m doing now :D

    I was really sad to hear that Nero Lite and Micro (which I prefer to use) came to an end. I personally think that you should continue your work as your work is the reason to use Nero in these days when it became what it became. I don’t have that much space on my drive (1TB recently :-) hehe) to use stock Nero, or bloated up DVD players or Adobe Readder 9……. Respect to your efforts with Nero and greetings from Slovakia!

    Nero 9 IS available in Lite version

    Before closing that work, may you add a chart about Nero versions face to system Requirements?

    Because it still useful to know that v7 is the latest for NT4. By the way, the only other free burner I know to work on NT4 is BurnAware Free.

    Don’t laugh about using NT4, it is not a choice.

    Thank you so much for your years of devotion. Haven’t been using Nero for a long time since you can install from USB nowadays and that was the last thing needed for Nero for me.

    As noticed Nero updated their installer to 8.3.13.0a. After testing I see no differences since previous 8.3.13.0 release.
    I have updated the SDK to solve some building problems and also updated installer libraries. Anyone should now be able to create a Nero Lite build on their own.

    Great news. Hoped you would release the 8.3.20.0 Version. Tried it by myself with the SDK but it didn´t work. Maybe my X64 system is responsable. Always got error messages from the compiler.

    Im using nero lite for a long time, but i have one problem when using this last build. When I set Number of Copies in the New Compilation/Burn window 2 or more, after the first burn when Nero ejects ODD door and asks for another media and I insert a new blank media and close the ODD door, the program stops responding – I have tried it with different configurations and OSs- it’s still the same. Can you fix it? Thx.
