Nero 9 to big to handle

Dear Nero Lite users,

I have spend some time working on Nero 9 Lite but soon I discovered activation didn’t work properly when using a custom installer. So the best way to deal with Nero 9 for now is to modify the original setup files directly or just run the original installer and select the components you want. Thanks to Windows Vista and Windows 7 requirements Nero’s installer is improved anyway.

Note I will release another update for Nero 7 and 8 Lite to fix some minor issues.

    Thanks for the update! Does Nero 8 Lite have any minor issues with Windows 7? And if it does, will the minor fixes solve the Windows 7 problems? Thanks again!

    It’s a shame the “Free” Nero 9 is bloated as all hell (300mB for JUST data burning! wtf!), or I’d try using that :/

    Before you release the new builds, could you fix both Nero Lites so that it either a) remembers to get rid of all Nero associations (NRG, NRA etc) upon uninstallation, or b) make it so that Nero never automatically creates such associations at all? There’s nothing that bothers me about alternative Nero builds (portable et al) more than ones which can’t be bothered to prevent Nero’s HKCR leftovers from existing or being left behind.

    Now,the official released a free version Nero 9(only have copy CD/DVD and burning CD/DVD)Can you make it into lite?

    I think its OK. Nero Suite is Braindead even. To Big for the “little bit of Upgrades” for the MainProgramm. Nero 8 Works fine and has enough functions for every User. Nero is poor in Quality, so Roxio can have First place in my System. My Note of Thanks to you for your Work and the possibility to get a Windows System that not will Crash into a Software-Overload.

    without nero lite i would have given up on the program long ago. that ‘free’ version that nero now offers is a joke and laughable at how bloated it *STILL* is compared to other free programs like Ashampoo Burning Studio (which weighs in at under 6mb and puts free version nero to shame in terms of features)

    Nero is obviously getting more and more bloated.
    It would be great for you to finish the project with a single release of a pack that contains nero smart. Nero 7 micro + smart would be the best.
    You’ll see that its appreciated not just by me.
