Nero 8.3.13.0 update

As a suprise Nero released just before Christmas an update to Nero 8. As expected no release notes were given, but who need those anyway?

Nero 8 Lite 8.3.13.0 build 1.18.0.1
- fix updating existing installations.
- update SQLite -> 3.6.7

When installing 8.3.13.0 on XP x64 SP2, the following error appears at the end of the installation:

Runtime Error (at122:272):
Cannot open file C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\is-DA8BJ.tmp\WizardBitmapImage2.bmp

When installing 8.3.6.0, all is OK.

I get the same thing on Vista x32 SP1 and I got the same error on Vista x32 on the last release of Lite, but all seems to work just fine

Hello. When trying to download at ifile.it I can’t get a download to start in Internet Explorer or Firefox. When I click on Request Download Ticket it doesn’t do anything. When pointing at Request Download Ticket there’s not even anything being acknowledged in the browser status bar. I’m not sure if it’s an issue @ ifile.it or what the issue is.

I’ve installed the Nero 8.3.13.0 english micro version. No problem, no runtime error. All functions work fine.

Click on the “request download ticket” on the top of the site. This text transforms “download” text. Right click on this caption and Save as…
It works in Opera 9.6 browser properly.

I use Nero 8 Lite v8.3.13.0 and it works perfect with Windows XP x64-bit. No problemo

I have downloaded nero lite 7 and 8 along with the updates and in all instances the program doesn’t work because there is no serial #. The automated DEMO does not unlock the functionality of the program. I thought the program was free, but I guess I need to purchase the product.

no version of Nero is free LOL the reason you would download this is because of the bloat of the normal Nero download (smaller download) simple setup
He does not want to work on version 9 but I do not know the full details but just enojoy 7 and 8

Nero Lite and Micro versions of all latest builds of Nero 9, and then Nero 10, and then Nero 11, and then Nero 12 and so on. You get the point. It’s what people want.

i dont get any errors when i install nero micro european, but some users get this ERROR:

please tell me why do you want nero 9. for all of us, we are blessed to have nero 8 micro, which to my mind is enough for the average user.

what, you so absolutely have to put blu-ray discs to the hard drive, which i believe is the only “big” difference between nero 8 and 9? come on!

I’ve just successfully installed Nero 8 Lite 8.3.13.0 build 1.18.0.1 onto my Win Vista x64 computer.

No problems were incurred.

I then used “Nero.Mega.Plugin.Pack.msi” to install the audio codecs manually choosing this directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Nero\AudioPlugins

otherwise if you don’t have your codecs in this directory then won’t work in Vista x64

hope this helps people….

@Quinn, it’s Nero Lite for a reason. I have optimized a lot of the bitmap resources and icon files included. No other changes in the binary program code.

After install I can’t use it, it is asking for a serial but i have no one…

the first appz i used is nero tool kit, then I tried nero burning and found this problem.

I tried to reinstall it with no success, how can I do? I read that it insert by itself a working serial…

You get a serial by buying Nero. Nero Lite and Micro don’t use illegal serial numbers, they still require you to buy Nero 8 to get a legal serial number.

Hey, I just saw that version 8.3.13.0a has been released, but no further infos about the changing to the old version.

Would be great if someone could make a lite or micro version from the new version.

use your heads you dont need the latest version 9 is poo an if the latest version of 8 dont work get an older version from filehippo.com > go on filehippo search nero click on nero burning rom see sidebar to the right , go through older versions,
download it an dont worry if it says trail enter your serial when 1st asked it will be prefilled in with demo or a trail key so enter your full product key here rather than updating the trail version.

download nero7 for xp(best for dvd making)
download nero8 for vista (an DL the templates) download nero 9 na dont bother
