3.2.1 go!

Reading the Nero 8.3.2.1 changelog you might notice there are no big changes to the main burning program. Updating Nero 8 Lite and Micro should be easy though I have taken some time to make some internal code changes.

One big change of Nero 8.3.2.1 is that the Patent Activation mechanism – introduced in Nero 8 to prevent unauthorized people to compress video files – is now also required for creating VCD/SVCD’s. I have successfully transferred this protection mechanism to Nero Lite.

Apart from this, there are no changes to the main burning application. You might choose to skip this update for now if you are using the Micro version. However support is only given on latest Nero release version.

People who use Nero WaveEditor might want to upgrade to this new version since the annoying pauze/play bug is fixed.

- Improved detection of existing Nero Serials during setup
- Removed MauSau LPAC Codec (crashes Nero WaveEditor)
- Replaced MauSau LAME MP3 encoder with Nero LAME 3.96.1

    When I want to burn a DVD, “superlink” (Samsung burnproof) option does not appear in the menu (the option is only available with CD burning).
    Somebody else in it too?

    I only recently learned about Nero Micro. Nothing burns like Nero but I hate all the bloatware and the fact that no matter where you install it, it will eventually find its way to “C” drive. Keep up the great work. How do I make a contribution?

    Mihd.net is a fine file hoster but there download servers are some time down now. Redirecting didn’t work anymore.

    You must remove the previous nero lite, restart pc, then delete the directory where you have installed nero lite, then install the new version of nero lite
