They have update Nero 7 to 7.11.6.0 they haven’t updated the update page to whats been actually updated but thought I’d let you know incase you want to re-create the Nero 7 Lite version.

I have a legit 7.x Premium key.
I recently bought Nero’s Blu-ray / HD DVD video plug-in.
After I added the new serial number with the ProductSetup tool. Nero says; Your serial number supports additional features which are not installed on this system. In order to enable them please update your Nero software. So I press the Update button, but it always fails after a downloading 6-7MB and shows a popup dialog: Download Connection Problem.

How can I solve this issue? Do I have to installed the whole bloated installationpackage??

This solution works in XP, but not tested in VISTA. To suppress the “Your serial number supports additional features which are not installed on this system.” message, go to the start button, then click on run, or in vista use the “start search” field and type in and start “regedit”.
Now migrate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info
- CHANGE “MissingFilesState”=”1″ TO “MissingFilesState”=”0″
This should resolve it.

Both 7.10.1.0 and 7.10.1.2 show an error during install on Win2k (without .NET), “regsvr32 exitcode 3, can’t register ..Common…/lib/NeroFileDialog.dll” and after “ignore” Nero won’t start and complains about “gdiplus.dll not in path”. If you copy some old gdiplus.dll (found an old version 5.1.3102.1360 from 2004 in some archive here) to “..Program Files\Nero\Core\”, it starts and works.

Maybe you should test on a Win2k latest WinUpdates, but without .NET

I have tested and uninstalled the 7.10.1.2 version (new verbatim dvd burned and cannot be played on my DIVX player and OK in my PC) to reinstall 7.10.1.0 build 1.9.3.5 by testing to burn the same files on another DVD and no problem in my Peekton .
